4 Love of the Game
A profile of the organization 4 Love of the Game was featured on NBC News last week. This important group is mentoring Native American youth through athletics, exposing them to new places through organized tournaments. Through athletics, the students also participate in character-building programs and are provided with an environment that fosters academic achievement. The ultimate goal of 4 Love of the Game is to increase the number of Native American students who attend and graduate from college and right now the numbers are unsettling. According to NBC News, only 10% of Native Americans are going to college and only half of those students actually graduate. Clearly this organization is tackling a serious and important issue.
