We provide affordable, expert advice to students and their families as they navigate the college selection and admissions process. We assist students in finding the college that best fits their abilities, interests, and aspirations. We guide students as they map their college journeys.
In addition to our focus on undergraduate colleges and universities, we also provide admissions assistance to graduate programs and boarding schools.

Mark Montgomery is a caring, compassionate educator with deep experience in higher education, classroom teaching, and college administration. He is a college insider who uses his knowledge of schools and empathy for students to help young people decide for themselves their educational journey.

Katherine Price, Senior Associate
Katherine Price is an experienced admissions officer and adviser. Throughout her career in higher education, Katherine has maintained a student-centered philosophy. She enjoys working closely with students in order to provide them with the right amount of challenge and support to reach their educational aspirations.
An experienced admissions professional: former Associate Director of Undergraduate Admission at Babson College; Coordinator of transfer admissions; territory manager for the West Coast and Mid-Atlantic regions; Masters Degree in Higher Education Administration from Boston College; assisted with graduate admissions at Boston College.
A specialist in international admissions: Managed and reviewed applications from India, East Asia, Turkey, and the Middle East; Member of the Overseas Association of College Admissions Counseling; Member of NAFSA: Association for International Educators.
A seasoned student adviser and advocate: Created a the Sophomore Year Experience at Babson to advice second year students on academic and career goals; former Coordinator of Student Development at CalPoly-San Luis Obispo office of Housing and Residential Life; managed a residence hall of 600 students; taught seconds of the First Year Seminar at Babson to integrate new students into campus life.

Approach to College Counseling
With our background in teaching, instruction, college admission, and higher education administration, we believe that the proper role of a consultant is to “guide from the side” rather than to preach as the “sage on the stage.” We provide the tools and guidance for students to make their own decisions about what is important to them as they explore their options and navigate the admissions process. We don’t have right answers. We don’t have a list of the “right” colleges. Rather, we help students discover the educational alternatives that are right for them. Then we give them the tools plot their course to help and arrive at their chosen educational destination.
