  1. I never had an “Advisor”–at least not to my knowledge, for one may have been automatically assigned to me–at my current college. And now, I am wondering whose name I should enter into the Advisor area under the Education section of the Common Application. My community college is notorious for its lack of knowledgable councelors, and I in fact was the chief manager of my own educational plans in college. Can you help me in this area?

  2. Hi, Sam. Just put down the head of the student advising office at your community college. There has to be someone who runs that office, even if you never met him or her. I’m not sure that your CC has few advisers. But there is likely someone in charge of such things. Call around and/or surf the website. Hope this helps!
