I often see students whose resumes are padded with “leadership conferences.” An article from the New York Times (entitled Congratulations You Are Nominated. It’s an Honor. It’s a Sales Pitch.
These experiences aren’t all bad. But they certainly are not “awards.”
Caveat Emptor: Buyer Beware.
