Karisa Hunt is the executive assistant to the college counseling professionals at Great College Advice®. She is motivated to help people get the best education possible; she holds multiple degrees in education ranging from early elementary through high school and has also completed coursework to teach English as a foreign language.

During her time at the University of Pennsylvania, Karisa had the chance to hone her writing and editing skills. She spent years as a freelance editor, working with documents ranging from admissions essays to doctoral theses. She understands what it takes to get from a rough draft to the perfectly honed admissions essay. Karisa is an invaluable resource to our team of college counseling professionals.

As an educator, Karisa has worked in schools in urban and rural settings and everything in between. This helps her understand the diverse backgrounds and different needs that students can have. She spent a summer teaching English to ten-year-old students in Ecuador, which helped her develop a true sense of the global learning community. She is well-prepared to serve as a college counseling professional to the many international students who partner with Great College Advice.
