Lowering the Cost of Out-Of-State Tuition

Currently, juniors everywhere are trying to decide where they will send in those college applications.  On top of considering size, location, and selectivity; cost is often a major factor when students are considering what schools will make the final list.
In a previous blog post, I wrote about the Top 5 Reasons to Go To College Out-of-State.  While an out-of-state school may be the best “fit” for you and what you want to do in the future, you may still be struggling with how to justify the costs.
The article, 4 Ways to Pay In-state Tuition at Out-of-state Colleges provides some interesting insights on ways to cut your tuition bill.  While not all of these suggestions may work for you, it may give you some ideas on how to put an out-of-state college within your reach.
Another option is to search for scholarship opportunities.  Many state schools offer specialized scholarships for out-of-state students.  Some you may have to apply to separately.
Don’t give up on your dream to attend an out-of-state school.  With a little research, your dream may be more obtainable than you think!
