I attended a session at the conference of the Independent Educational Consultants Association last week that debunked the five myths of athletic recruiting.
Myth #1: “If I’m being recruited, I will be admitted.”
Myth #2: “Grades don’t matter for a recruited athlete.”
Myth #3: “Only great athletes receive scholarships.”
Myth #4: “There is a perfect college for me.”
Myth #5: “If a coach wants me, he or she will contact me.”
If you believe in any one of these myths, you need some great college advice.
