As students wait to hear from college admission offices in the next couple of days, this story from the New York Times highlights the cold, hard realities of economics. The story is entitled Colleges Accepting More Students Who Can Pay Full Fare.
The title is pretty self-explanatory. With fewer parents willing or able to take out huge private loans to finance a private education, we will find more colleges will move to admit more students who are able to pay full freight.
It’s not exactly fair, but it’s the reality.
