[ad id=12335]According to sources at the Common Application, courtesy of the SuperACAC conference, there may not be too many changes for this year’s 2012-13 Common App but get ready for 2013-14!
The Common Application is working to revamp their image and “rebuilding from the ground up.” A few of their potential considerations include: a new application format, essay topic changes, plagiarism detection, essay length enforcement, and a simplified and streamlined supplement. This is not to say that all of these will for sure be part of the new application but they are options the Common Application is considering.
The Common Application folks plan to unveil their new application and features during the annual National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) conference in October in Denver, Colorado. These changes, along with training materials for counselors, would likely be released in 2013.
