The Xinhua News Agency of China reports that Chinese students are finding it difficult to get scholarships in the U.S..

The article explains that college endowments have lost money, which means colleges have fewer scholarship dollars to offer foreign students.

In addition, third party agencies that offer scholarships to Chinese students have also been cut back, as those scholarship endowments have declined.

This is why it is so important for Chinese students to choose carefully when applying to colleges and universities in the United States. Some colleges are more willing to to accept–and subsidized–top students from China.
